HELLO HOOMAN, I’M Shih Tzu

I am Shih Tzu, a dog breed bred solely to become a loving companion. What's more, you might find it surprising that Shi Tzu means little lion; after all, there is nothing fierce about me. In fact, I am an affectionate, happy, outgoing dog breed who loves nothing more than being with loved ones everywhere they go. However, nowadays, people have started coaching me for dog sports, including obedience, rally, and agility competitions.

MORE ABOUT ME

PERSONALITY AND TEMPERMANT

Shih Tzu's demeanor is exceptionally charming, and even skeptics find it difficult to resist this breed. This is a breed that refuses to be ignored. They were intended to be a pleasant companion, not to hunt, herd, or guard, and they are precisely that. Nothing makes them happier than greeting friends and strangers alike.

A Shih Tzu is known for making friends wherever they go. They get along with other animals and enjoy being around children. They're the type of dog who likes to curl up in your lap. They'll bark to let you know someone is at the door; once the person enters, your dog is likely to like them just as much as you do because dogs are trustworthy creatures.

CHARACTERISTICS

Shih Tzu is a breed perfect for apartment living as well as they are suitable for new dog owners. This breed is affectionate towards its family as well as children and other dog breeds. Also, it has no problem with strangers; it is generally friendly with strangers too.

Shih Tzus, which weighs 9 to 16 pounds and reach 8 to 11 inches tall, are powerful for their size. The coat of a Shih Tzu comes in a variety of colors and is certainly worth the effort; very few dogs are as attractive as a well-groomed Shih Tzu.

ENERGY LEVEL

Shih Tzu is a less energetic dog, and their exercise need is less. They are content with a daily brief stroll or focused indoor fun. They'll be found roving the house, playing with toys, and rushing to meet anyone who comes to the door.

PHYSICAL

A Shih Tzu was always meant to be a house pet and has such tiny legs, they only need a little exercise. Taking your Shih Tzu for daily walks and engaging in exciting activities such as games can help keep him mentally and physically occupied.
