HELLO HOOMAN, I’M Bullmastiff

I am Bullmastiff, also called the silent watchdog. I am a reliable and brave family guardian with a sweet spot for the loved ones, but I am standoffish towards strangers. And sometimes I can be a real drooler. If you manage to get past through my slobber, you will get a companion who is not only protective of you but is also ready to join you on adventures.

MORE ABOUT ME

PERSONALITY AND TEMPERMANT

Typically, the Bullmastiff is a confident and fearless dog breed. Plus, this breed can be an independent thinker. However, it respects the wishes of its people and follows their commands. On top of that, this breed is smart, reliable, and has a tendency to please the owners.

Furthermore, the Bullmastiff has a natural guardian instinct when it comes to its homes and family. And the Bullmastiff will respond immediately if it senses some danger.

CHARACTERISTICS

The Bullmastiff dog breed is so mellow that it can make a great apartment dog. In addition to that, this breed was bred to be silent watchdogs. Hence, it doesn’t bark a lot.

Moreover, I am affectionate towards my family. Likewise, I am good with children and other dogs. The primary issue with this breed is that it drools a lot. Besides that, it is an intelligent dog breed, which is not that difficult to train.

In terms of sizes, the Bullmastiff male is about 25 to 27 inches tall and 110 to 130 pounds in weight. On the other hand, the female can be 24 to 26 inches in height and weigh around 100-120 pounds.

ENERGY LEVEL

The Bullmastiff is not a highly-energetic dog breed. Usually, a couple of short walks or playtimes are enough to tire out this breed. Obviously, the Bullmastiff puppy has more energy than an adult dog. On top of that, being low-key doesn’t necessarily mean that this breed is lazy.

PHYSICAL

A typical Bullmastiff needs between 30 to 45minutes of exercise every day. The activities can include anything from a regular walk to some free play as well as strengthening exercises. However, you should keep in mind that over strenuous exercises can cause severe joint pain.
